Building a home can at times be an emotional process, but with our background and skills in all facets of the industry we can make it a positive experience for everyone.
Dean has been involved in the construction industry for 24 years, 20 of which have been as a fully qualified builder based in Wanaka.
Trained in old-school building practices, he has embraced the transformation of the construction industry over the years and used that experience to develop a successful career as a project manager and a qualified, licensed builder in Wanaka.
Collaborating with several reputable architects, tradies and contractors in the area over the past two decades, Dean has built a strong industry network and a reputation for successful client outcomes.
After working with a large successful national franchise as a builder for over a year he was offered a project management role within that same company in 2003.
He accepted the role and gained valuable management experience which augmented his skills within the industry. That role and subsequent industry experience has enabled him to establish a stronger and more balanced understanding of the building process and Wanaka construction industry in general.
Dean and his crew all hold current workplace first aid certificates.
About Robyn Millar
A proud Mum of three young boys and a true Wanaka local with a strong customer service and management background, Robyn has a great love for the area and brings many skills to the business.
Passionate about Wanaka, over the years she and Dean have built three homes in the area with their family at various ages giving her a clear insight into the challenges- and rewards – of a building project.
Hardworking and capable Robyn will fill in the gaps where needed outside of the office. It will be no surprise to see her on a building site on the end of a broom, holding a chalk-line or collecting building supplies or just delivering smoko!
Outside of the building world, Dean and Robyn enjoy a strong involvement with the Wanaka community.
Dean is president of the Upper Clutha Junior Rugby Club and takes great pride in the record numbers of youngsters becoming involved in the sport over the past few years. He has also enjoyed several years of coaching at junior level and has a great rapport with the kids. As a keen rugby player in his day he also enjoys the run around during practice!
Robyn has served on several committees in a volunteer position over the years and will put her hand up to help-out within the community whenever she can. She is a current volunteer member of St John Wanaka as an Ambulance officer, and she feels it is important to find a way to give back to her community in a way that best utilises her skills as a communicator.
When time came to build our ultimate dream we purchased a difficult hill site to maximise the view of the lake and anticipated all sorts of problems with the build. However the build was seamless and worry free and if Dean was sometimes tearing his hair out with the site it never showed.
